Your headlight bulbs are a vital safety feature on your car. Poor car bulbs can increase the chances of an accident, and driving at night with poor headlight bulbs can also cause you to suffer from stress and fatigue.

Headlight bulb on your car is just like any other part; it will wear out and the performance will weaken over time. Items like brake pads and oil get changed when your car is serviced but your headlight bulbs could be performing below their specification and not get spotted. It would be unthinkable not to change your brake pads for five years; the same should apply to your bulbs.

A quick cheap way of losing the 'fried egg' effect is to swap your orange indicator bulbs for silver ones. There are a number of brands on the market including Philips Silver Vision, Osram Diadem (these are a blue oiled style finish) and Autobulb Directs own Silver Indicators.
